Finding the Source of the Nile River
The French already solved this: they call 'em "nearly isles" 🙌.... But obvs islands that aren't really islands is a much better title as your metrics will show. "Isolates" is already used to mean specific things in science, and also it sounds like yours talking about incels 😂.....and also the oasis thing: that's an Island. We'd pretty much just say that.
-86.
Blows my mind the entire world has agreed on an "antarctic treaty" we can't agree on anything else. Can't agree on what money to use. What language to speak. What religion to follow. Anything, but they ALL agree on Antarctica.. I think there's stuff under there they never want people to find 😳😳😳
"Hello! I'm intrigued by the langurs' exclusive presence in the Indian subcontinent and their limited expansion compared to other old world monkeys. I'm curious if there are any other groups of animals that are similarly endemic to specific non-island regions. Any insights on this topic would be greatly appreciated!"
im being flash bang by infomation overload
Army Officer & land Surveyor John Wesley Powell was absolutely correct. Water is the key and is very important. He made his map according to water availability and said that each of those States should be limited to 10,000 humans. Powell went back to Washington D.C. and testified in the U.S. Senate and they rejected his plans / ideas partly because the government wanted more taxpayers, and the Railroad companies (and factories in the northeastern part of the new nation wanted more workers / laborers and the "injuns" would not work on white man jobs / tasks / ways, and Slavery had been abolished so no more slave workers could be imported. Powell was correct.
How could you possibly forget the Azteca and Incan Empires? Theyr alao right in the zone.
"The middle east, where civilization got it's start" I'm sorry, did you mean "various river valleys around the world"? Because civilization did not start at a singular point.
London is not 12,000 kilometers north of Madrid. It's about 775 miles.
Where is MANGO🥲🥲🥲🥲 as an indian i m hurt! You left our favourite fruit “king of fruits” - 🥭
Are we all ignoring how he bought the 2018 version instead of waiting for the new one?
All because of the shittyy colonisers ✨✨✨
Hawaii has species only found in the islands not brought here
It's not even about the color, which indicates the most massively produced type of light by wave length. It's about balancing light consumption, so it's not too much and not too few. On Earth plants do it through reflecting the most abundant wave length. But on a planet orbiting a supermassive star it should be most of its wave length spectrum, so rather whitish plants. On planets, orbiting low mass, so low light radiation stars, plants would tend to be darker in color, close to black. So a blend of brownish dark red and rather fully black plants.
What about Pobeda Ice Island?
Shot-out to r/megafaunarewilding for introducing me to the concept of rewilding
The video was great until you started ask stupid rhetorical questions.
So it's not almost heaven
You clowns don’t know what you’re talking about. What you call Grand Bank Island wouldn’t have existed a thousand years ago. It would have been beneath the ocean ten thousand years ago. All your assumptions are just fantasy.
Europe was 43 countries. Respect UN law if you want to educate people. Kosovo is Serbia 🇷🇸
complete B.S. science and it is being used to control people.
This video misses the point it set out to describe completely. The Ethiopian highlands (the real source of the Nile) were mentioned only once in passing on a 26+ minute video supposedly dedicated to the source of the Nile. Rather than that you just made half of the content about evil white man African colonialism and the other half about global warming. Seriously, get someone to do a better job with these scripts....
the bg music is making me cry its so distracting but hey the video helped :3
0:50 “We are all accessory to the murder of rivers” 💔
Was that piece of crust antipodal to hawaii when it happened?
Ethiopa,❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Gee alive 2100 that would be worth the swim

Nobody knows what the state of the Earth was 10,000 years ago let alone a million years ago. Give your heads a shake.
How do you know that any of these birds that you mentioned ever had the ability to fly?
i like this a lot, thank you for the........................................ deep dive. i wanted to ask--what is the documentary that plays over the credits? i might have missed it but i can't see it in the description
What about higher levels, but not this high? What if there is more water than we know of, and melting ice could raise sea levels by even a few hundred metres? Or if portions of earths crust sinking/rising as mass is redistributed cause a similar rise in sea level? The areas shown in the video as 'dry' with 2000m sea level rise wouldn't be habitable. The types of storms a flat wet earth would see would destroy anything trying to live in tibet or the andes, let alone smaller islands. The same areas might be better examined with just a few hundred metre rise though, as the same weather systems would make these areas some of the few protected enough to support life. Funnily enough, when we trace the origin of domesticated species, we find they come from these areas. Not to mention human cultures and civilisation. Cultures and Civilisations that, while vastly different and supposedly separately developed, exhibit remarkable similarities. It's almost as if they once shared a common ancestry but became isolated somehow in these locations.
"East Indies" 🤦♀🤦🤦♂
You really oversimplified Asia. India isn't geographical 1 type of environment. Same as China. India has scrub and arid landscapes as well.
This globe shows: Poland & the Soviet Union splitting East Prussia (1945-1991) Germany not controlling Silesia and East Prussia (1945-Present) Tannu Tuva (1921-1944) Pre-Chaco War Paraguayan borders (Pre 1935) And Arabia controlling Oman (Not in centuries!!) This thing is as bad as the Animaniacs song.
destruction of the indigenous population ?? you mean by the English, right? Spanish-speaking countries the vast majority are descendent of Indians ... that does not happen in EEUU
It looks like we are heading into a large depopulation from the reports we see because of shifts in culture. Especially western culture. How long before the boomers are gone. 20 years from now will be quite different population wise.
Amazing, Greenlake inside Greenland! Who would've thought?
I don't get it why they are this much obsessed in Nile
Could they live there? In theory?
So rad. I subscribed to Nat Geo a few years ago and they’ve still got it, man! I may have to invest in that Atlas of the World. Nothing like learning from a book that’s so clearly been a labor of love for a bunch of smart, curious people.
Would be an interesting world if all of these landmasses made it above the surface
3:30 i think i have a theory for that. it seems like a lake and river trail has gone through centeral asia starting with the black sea and ending with at least the Ural sea, is it possible in the past it was even bigger and streached to lake baikal?
Interesting, but I didn't learn how to navigate using the stars.
1:55 Oh no I'll become unlucky.
"planet" pronounced as "play-nit"? these AI VO's are such garbage
